Playback of our Quad CDs in a "Home Theater" (or similarly equipped) setup will activate the front left-right and the rear left-right speakers, exactly as it was back in the 1970s. This is most commonly found in "Home Theater" setups. Our Quadraphonic CDs must be played back in a player (CD or DVD or BluRay player that plays CDs) connected to a (or with a built-in) DTS or Dolby Digital decoder.

How to play the QUADRAPHONIC CDs we provide (DTS or DOLBY DIGITAL): Our solution brings this 1970s technology into the 21st Century: you get the full 4-channel quadraphonic sound on CD! As this is a technology of the 1970s, it is hard to find today playback equipment in working condition (and that will continue to work) that you can connect to your ampliphier. To be able to connect to four speakers and achieve the quadraphonic "surround" effect, these tapes must be played with a special 8-track Quad tape deck. Quadraphonic 8-track tapes are usually clearly marked "QUADRAPHONIC" or "QUAD". A Quadraphonic (or QUAD) 8-track tape is a 4-channel tape meant to be listened to using four speakers: two front speakers and two rear speakers.
